Default is my tranny doomed?

i was bleeding my clutch today. ( in my driveway on jackstands.) i didn't know what size the bleeder screw was. i dropped a 3\8 socket down the side of the bleeder screw down into my bellhousing. is there any chance of it killing my clutch, flywheel, or tranny? this car has givin me migrains since day one. i want to set it on fire. i can't afford to pay a tech with a lift to do certain things i need. aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

after much thought, i have decided to pull up the carpet and cut a hole above my bleeder screw. i bought a long flexible magnet and will try to fish it out. next step is to have the car towed to the shop that did my tranny. atleast i'll be able to bleed it myself while i'm in there.
