So I just ordered from SLP a reproduction of the birth certificate and window sticker, my car when i bought it did not come with these items. Has anyone ordered those from SLP for their car?

And can you really tell that much difference from the originals?

since I gave them the last 8 of my vin, they should have all the correct info right as far as what to put on the documents?

Thanks.

The last 8 is all they need..... at least for my WS6, but thats all ASC files needed. How much was the sticker?

The sticker and the birth certificate totalled out to $115 or something like that. Expensive pieces of paper, but better to have them then not imo.

What info comes included on the birth certificate??

probably the facility info, tech who did the work, time in,time out.. that sort of shit... really just cool to have for a show or maybe when you sell it.... Id like to have one but dont think I can get it from ASC... Anyone who knows otherwise, let me know. Id like to have my "birth certificate" too... $115 seems like a lot but considering all the other shit be buy for our cars, this is nothing...

I'm trying to return this car back to having all the material things it once had. And SLP is the only place to buy the birth cert. and window sticker, so I might as well just buy them and be done. Yes it will be cool to set them on my dash at a show.

The guy i talked with on the phone said you can definately tell the difference between these reproductions and the originals, but he did not say exactly what is different.

I think I'm gonna get these for Christmas. I'm also too cheap to spend that kinda $ on a piece of paper.
It's nice to see one of the other 36 Hawks in MN, I know the owner of 2000 #138, and I am 2001 #160. You should check out http://www.mngmp.org/forums/ there are 2 '97? Hawk owners on there, and they have a cruise coming up next weekend.

See i wish i could contact the original owner. But i think all the "stuff" for my firehawk was lost when it went to the auto auction in between the forst & secon owners :(

Yep I'm registered on there. We should have a Firehawk meet next summer or something, not sure if you already do that? See pics below for info.

Shitty pics I know. I liked finding out where my car was built and what dealership actually sold it to it's first owner.

So for you guys taking these documents to shows, has anyone found any good protectors or plactic sleeves to display this sort of stuff with your car at shows?
I have mine in a large plastic cheap picture frame with slide on edges, it works but it isnt anything special.

I just thought I would chime in here but you know what would be great for putting these certificates in for protection and such... Comic book "mylar" protectors with the cardboard inserts. Can pick them up from any local comic book store or you can just google them online. The plastic will not adhere, discolor, or damage the papers.

Yeah that would be fun. I'm not sure if they do anything local, I know that they have a "Firehawk of America rally" or something but that isn't around here. I just got my car this summer so haven't really paid any attention till now. We could send an email to all the owners in MN and see how many people would wanna get together.
