After almost a year, it's finally off the jack stands and is driveable.

Still a lot of finish work and tuning to do before I start on the body and interior.

very cool! the 67/68's have always been my favorite of the first gens, much cleaner lines. it should scoot right along with that LS7!

The motor mount adapter plates are from Speedway (#91618016) with Energy Suspension mounts. The headers are modified Dynatech 1 7/8" and the pan is a Moroso #20140 (requires remote filter).

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Dynatech headers. what did you modify?

#1 primary. It contacted the adapter plate and mount. It also ran too close to the steering shaft (rack & pinion steering).

Another consideration is oxygen sensor clearance if you use a 4L80E transmission. There's less than 1/8" between the tip of the sensor and the 4L80E pan, which means that you have to remove the headers to install/replace the sensors.

Dynatechs have one of the better, if not the best collector sealing systems in the business.
