Default Holley LS3/L92 Modular intake feedback

Has anyone had success with this intake manifold yet? What are the rwhp figures and appropriate engine combinations for these intakes for street usage?

I haven't read anything about on here. One of the mags did a test on one or were building a combo with it. Not sure on which mag I'll have to look for it.

I found the article it was in Hot Rod. They tested it against a stock LS3 intake The Holly lost alot of torque below 5000 rpm's, but picked up both HP and torque on the upper end. Not much of a test.IMOP

Its a good test for those who dont understand intake manifolds. The article tells you....

If you drag race only and leave the line at 5500+ its probably a good intake for you to look into and consider.

If you street drive at all, this isnt an intake for you unless you have a very large ci engine that can spare 30-50lbft and not feel like moosh like smaller ci engine would.

I took one look at the intake and knew exactly what it would do.

I saw the intake manifold and my initial thoughts of it were more geared for the track, on a drag car or some other high rpm suited engine. There was just not enough testing results that I had found on it.

Seems to me like it would do very well with forced induction.

How many people would bolt that on to a stock LS1? I would like to see it compared to a Fast, Vic Jr , ETC.

It performed like many of the sheet metal intakes that people run.

I'm pretty sure Hotrod tested it on a 468" LS3 headed motor. A FAR CRY from a stock LS1. It wasn't a solid cammed race motor but hydraulic cam and streetable compression I believe. It hit over 700hp with the holley intake.

You are correct. I got confused with another article. This intake might be the ticket for my combo. I would still like it tested against some other intakes that i mentioned.

With boost they all would work. Price wise, and ease of install the LS3. The Vic Jr will flow more ,but lots of work and parts to make it work. The 102 is just $$$ for what it gains. The Holly again would require alot of work to fit in an F-body.

What body is the engine in?
