Default Patriot Muffler Inserts = quieter????????

what's up people?

I need to make my camaro a bit quieter than it is now. I've got SLP longtubes into a custom y-pipe into a TSP Rumbler exhaust with the SLP center mount tips. It's too loud.

I need to quiet it down, and a lot, but i don't want to lose too much power. I am debating on doing a dual cutout option down the road but for now i need to keep it quiet.

I've got a hooker aerochamber muffler at home I am going to put on for the primary method of quieting it down, but i was wondering about those Patriot Muffler inserts that Summitracing sells. I don't know how much those would help quiet my exhaust down and if they would sit in the exhaust and rattle or not.

Any ideas?

Header cones, and/or add a moroso spiral flow bullet in there. Will quiet it a ton

A set of high flow Magnaflow #59959 cats would work great with minimal power loss.

FYI, I ran a 3.5" in/out Moroso spiral flow, it droned really bad from 1500-2000rpm, and I could clearly tell I was down on hp/tq after installing it.
A lot of people have had good results with the Moroso Spiral flow mufflers, but not me!

I think those header cones are pricey lol

I bet those patriot one would help lower the loudness of it along the same lines as those spiral flows

Any other suggestions for reducing the noise of my exhaust? I think I might go with two of those spiral flows...one on each side of my slp dual tip and then one of those patriot auger style inserts in my resonator...i think that will help the sound alot.

You could run a set of Magnaflow 4" (#10416) or 5" mufflers (#12866) if the pipes going to the CME are 2.5", and/or replace the resonator with a muffler.

I think the 4" model might drop it down enough, but you said a lot!
I feel confident that the 5" model will quiet it down enough for you, not sure about the 4" though.
You could also try a 4" pt#10426 w/18"L case, but I'd measure to make sure there not to long to mount in those locations, they would definitely do a better job then the 14" L case.
