How much nitrous is advisable/safe on a stock LS1 with a cam & bolt-ons Here's my question - we have a 2000 Corvette we're using as a project car (the introduction is here: http://www.lsxtv.com/features/editor...g-project-y2k/) that did 315 or so to the wheels in stock form, and now has an LS6 manifold, long tube headers, x-pipe, axle back exhaust, a cam swap, and a "canned" tune from FAST plus a few other bits and pieces.
It's doing 385 to the wheels now, and I'm sure there's more to be had from the existing hardware with a real tune, but once that's sorted, we're thinking about doing a nitrous plate system.
My main question is how big we can jet the nitrous kit and still have a good margin of safety with the stock short block. I've got a LNC-2000 waiting to go on to handle pulling timing, so detonation should not be an issue. I'm just wondering what the consensus is on how much spray we can run without hurting it.
The bonus questions are "when are we gonna run out of fuel pump?" and "what's your recommended fueling upgrade?"

Everything I have read says 150 is perfectly safe. That's why I chose to run a 150 on my stock shortblock car. A walbro 255 pump is an easy and effective way to support the power level you are looking for. As far as injectors, stock should be fine as long as you are spraying the car with a wet shot. buddy. seems like the sky is the limit. some have hit em pretty hard and have run really strong, and others have hurt em with baby shots. Just make sure you have all the proper things, tune safe, and let her rip. I have heard as high as 300hp

Alot of the problems occur on the Launch with a Bigger shot, the car Boggs & then you get a back-fire.

So far myself, cam and a few more have hit thm with over 300. I truly think 250 could could be ran for years with todays technology. 250 is the new 150! Lol....

If we are talking safety, put 200 in it with a NGK b8ef plug and it will love for a long time with 8-10 degrees pulled. We have put 300 plus through ours and the heads are off right now and everything looks fantastic with 2 years of use.
If I remember you're from the west coast, come see us at the SCSN this year, we'll be running street challenge. I'll give you some pointers etc

The safe point is 150 on average. If you want to step out of the box and throw more at it the LSX platform is pretty strong. OUr plate system would be exactly what you want if you are wanting to move up in the power level. You will find alot of our customers doing 250-300 on our plate systems. However there is a tuning step that needs to be followed as moving up. I can help you understand this and walk you through it just like I have many other guys using our products at this power level.
You will start to se the factory fuel system having issues around 450 to 500 hp on most applications. A racetronix system would get you up to about 650 rear wheel hp. Anything over that I would suggest one of our corvette specific dedicated fuel systems.
