Default quick compression guesstimate?

I recently bought used Trick flow 215 heads for my ls1...

the guy didnt know if they were milled but would get back to me on it.. with the heads and cam that it came with he said he was at 11.5-1 compression.

I have -2cc valve reliefs on my engine and wanted to run this head and the cam on my engine but with .040 cometic gaskets..

my question is what cc if you had to guess (before i check during the build) the original owner had them milled to have 11.5-1 compression on stock GM mls gaskets? my guess was 59cc

the cam in question is mid 230's in duration and low .600-inch lift range with a 114 lsa....

I would say you are just about on it with 59cc, I plugged in 61cc in my compression calculator to get exactly 11.5:1 on a ..040 gasket...

so 11.5-1 is on stock gm mls gaskets.... what would .040 cometics bump it up to? 11.7?

How much lee way do 2 cc valve relief pistons give you when your checking ptv clearance?

You won't have any issues with a cam of that duration. Trick flow changed the valve angle on those heads which allows you to run more duration and lift on the cam..

so in theory i will be fine, last question, since the person I bought this kit from fly cut his stock pistons to clear this cam, will my -2cc pistons be of similar depth to the stockers that were fly cut..

whats the deepest you can fly cut stock pistons to get an equalness to -2cc forged pistons..?

sorry for all these hypothetical questions, its just I cant get to my engine build for a bit and its kinda bothering me thinking about it...
