valve cover breather

valve cover breather i have a 04^ ls6 valley cover and a ls6 intake and a single catch can. I have the drivers side valve cover with a breather in it. in order for me to cap the metal thing off on the valve cover do i need a breather in their? or can i just cap it off completely and not worry about it? thanks,john
