Default Damn Trans Am headlight motor

I replaced my T/A's right headlight motor last year with a brandnew GM unit and it's going out again..WTF! Anyone have this problem? I thought I did everything right. The installation wasn't very hard just wasn't a lot of room for my hands. The bitch of it is, I don't think I still have the receipt; so there goes my warranty I will buy another one I guess and keep the recepit this time.

You could try doing the repair where you open up the motor and turn the plastic gear 180 degrees. This might give you another year for no cost other than your time. Another thing you can do is replace the plastic gear with a brass one that will never strip.
