Default Clutch Sticking to Floor

02 WS6

I went to the track and could not get my car into 3rd gear and the clutch needed to be pumped every time I punched it. I was told to change out the slave cylinder and master clutch cylinder. I did and now I can get into third but the clutch pedal still sticks and I have to pull it up with my foot and pump the pedal to get pressure back. Please Help. Whats the problem.

How does your fluid look? I would try to flush it and go from there.. is it only under "hard" operation/ high rpm shifts?

Flushing and refilling the system is a good suggestion. Additionally, did you do the drill mod on the line that leads from the master to the slave cylinder?

I assume this is the stock clutch giving you problems, how much power is the car making?

Fluid looks a little dirty and yes only under high rpm. I did not do the drill mod because I thought the Tick Performance part would fix this problem. Yes it is the stock clutch and the car makes 550 hp and 470 rwhp.

That clutch is probably hating life being stock with that power, my car made 400 on ls6 clutch and it sticks occasionally.

Yeah you've definitely exceeded the power of the stock clutch and need to upgrade to something that can handle it. A Monster Level 3 would be my recommendation and give you power to grow. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Chris, 817-750-2000

Yikes! Definitely time to upgrade that clutch. While you're in there, upgrading the master cylinder, replacing the slave cylinder/throwout bearing/pilot bearing is a good idea, as is installing a Remote SPEEDbleeder Line. Luckily, we offer a Tick & Monster COMPLETE Clutch Swap Package that includes everything at a discounted price: http://www.tickperformance.com/ls1-f...-swap-package/

...and yes, our Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit eliminates the need for the drill mod, as it includes a stainless braided, heat-wrapped unrestricted line, seen here: http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...or-ls1-f-body/

Best of luck!
