Checking plugs
I went from having a manual steering and manual brakes race car to an fbody street car with power everything how are you guys checking plugs if ignition cannot be shut down till i stop at the end of the turn off. I don't think I will be able to stop without power brakes working. And I don't think I will get a good plug reading if ignition is not shut off at WOT.

Kill the key at the stripe, just leave it on accessory so you can properly steer. I have the same setup except for a th400 tranny. I stop easily from 140 mph, however I do use the second turn off road. When making the turn off road I have to muscle the wheel a bit but nothing to hard since you are rolling.
The first time was tricky but now it's at breeze. You will get the hang of it....

.
You will not change the read that much if any.
Tons of guys leave it running with an auto trans.
I've done it both ways and the plugs read fine.
Never had a fancy modern injected car so who knows??
Oh yea, maybe I'm just old, but I would NEVER touch the key going down the track.
Switch panel is different, key, never!!
