i had a lid/stall only car (273s) that went 8.0 @ 79 bouncing off the rev limiter haha. i think it easily would've gone 7.8s with a tune.

My 01 Z28 ran 8.20's @84-85 consistent with ported t/b , stock air box & stock lid , but cutout bottom of box. Weight removal was spare and jack and back seats , but , it is a t top leather car pwr everything. Runs were on 4 year old street tires. DA was +1600. I would think with a converter and some drag radials you could run easy 7.70 -7.80.

Ok, I thought you had an auto car. In that case some 3.73 gears , drag radial and get your 60ft in the 1.7 range and you should run 7.90 if the rear end will hold up.

I went a best of 7.67 @ 92.6 with a shitty 1.87 60ft slipping the clutch

i had 243 heads milled and cleaned up a TR cheater cam, a ported TB, a Lid and cut out air box ported mas air custom tune. I had 17x11 zr1 rims with BFG drag

i had stock manafolds and cat back but had a custom Y pipe no cats

on a good Hooser tire i think i could of gone 7.5s 7.4s but i wanted the sleeper look
the car was full weight T-top leather z28
