Default Complete drop in questions

Am I correct to assume that with using a complete drop out for my conversion I do not need to get the pcm reflashed? I have motor and accessories, 4l60e trans, pcm and harness from 98 camaro. This is going in am 81 TA. Next can the original a/c compressor be relocated and used and if so who makes a bracket for ls1. What is best way to speedo to work? Saw the piece from S&P but was wondering if there was someone or something cheaper or another method, want to keep stock gauges. What is the best tank setup without blowing a wad other than external pump?

Thanks for the help

You do need to have the PCM flashed to disable VATS.

Vehicle Anti-Theft System...because it is not in the car it came with it will run for a couple seconds and die. You will need to have that reflashed out and while you're at it you can turn off all the emissions stuff and look into adjusting fan on/off temps, as well as shift points, etc...

If you want a great harness and have your PCM reflashed, get a PSI Conversion Harness and Jon will reflash your PCM for $50 dollars extra...he's an awesome vendor!

I think you'd be way ahead if you were to adapt the 98 f body gauges to your car, IMO.
