Project Triple MMM
I bought this car about a month ago and have been working on it since. I sold my 98 Z in 05 and finally have another one. This is a hardtop 00 z28 with a lq4 and roughly 60k on the clock. I started with paint correction and undercarriage clean up but now it's snowballed and i'm painting the engine bay I should have just started with this but oh well i've still got some more work to do on the paint anyway. On to the pics
How she sat when i picked her up
Undercarriage before
After - Painted rearend, poly bumpstops, founders lca's and brackets, and phb, umi sfc's, bilstiens, brakemotive brakes with painted calipers, removed exhaust to run a medium powerstick dumped off the y. Stock rear sway bar w/ 32mm hollow stock front SS bar

Here's a few pics of paint correction, M105/205 on an orange and white pad and i was using both an atd rotary and a flex 3401. Also had to wetsand a few spots with 1500. Still have to go back over it with menzerna final polish and then top it off with blackfire/pinnacle. I have a lot more pics here http://www.tazmanss.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=945
Yes the jeep bumpstops, I got them from strano when i ordered my sfc's
Painted my intake/valve covers/bumper support a few days ago. The valve covers were painted with rattle can base and ppg shopline clear. The intake and support were ppg shopline bc/cc. This was my first time with a paint gun and a $20 speedway series at that. Trying to practice on some stuff before we shoot my SS hood/spoiler and respray the bumpers. Probably going to get a new gun and take a step up in the ppg line for those.

Looks good so far. Can't wait for the end pics... that is if there is an end to this one, lol. I know that either you get to the end and either sale it or it sits and rots away or you keep working on it, lol.

Well after having some basecoat issues i finally got clear sprayed last night. Just debating on whether or not to knock down the orange peel and then shoot another 2-3 coats or leave her as she sits?

Wow, this is turning out amazing. I absolutely love MMM cars when they are kept clean and detailed. Any MMM car I've seen around here has usually been beat half to death or the clear coat is pealing as it drives down the road. I'm definitely in for updates!
