Default So who's running the big tune ups?

I was just wondering how big of tune ups you LSX guys are getting away with. Post your jet size (just nitrous jet size is OK if you don't want to share your tuneup), and tell a little about your car and what you do with it. Just a nice, friendly, open discussion about what you have gotten away with and what you've burned up

I'm pretty new to nitrous myself. I never messed with it too much until I got my race car, other than spraying my old stock LS1 in my 2001 WS6 with a Nitrous Outlet Money Maker. I have just been playing with small jets, but I like it very much so! Oh and PS, post pics of your cars/nitrous systems!

.

Plenty of the max effort LSX guys are running 400-500, or 2 stages with 500-600.
Plus some of us have standard engines in the 400-800 range.
I'm not running a LS style, but I did just order a new set up for next year,
it will be in the 700-800 range, so maybe I can help??

I'm not asking for any help. Simply starting a discussion about how much people are throwing to their stuff.

I am pretty new to it, but I got some pretty good mentors

Your car looks good, looks like it leaves hard! Mine leaves the line rather low and boring.

That's why I'm switching over to 15 lb bottles for next year.
I hoping to put my junk back in the 6's at next years NHRA race??
I don't want to go lean when the 2nd stage kicks in.

We got a pair of 46 jets in our junk.
That and a hotdog wrapper will get you 148mph.

I am not up on the fogger jets. Lol. About what hp would a 42 be rated at? And I assume that is a 42 in each stage?

46 in each stage not 42.

400 shot or so on each stage.

On a NOS system, like I use, the Professional model, a 40 jet is 400 HP per stage,
and I would use a 32 fuel jet. The 42 jet is a 500 shot.
Next year I plan to use a 32-24 1st stage, and a 40-32 2nd stage
only when going for 6 second pass's at events that need it to qualify.

Again, every company & model is different, so remember what you are comparing.

That's why I gave out my whole tune up.. it's likely not going to be any benefit to anyone, or work on their combination, so who cares. Chances are they'd burn some **** up good hahah

That's because I'm poor and have a tiny engine compared to some of these guys with 800 inch plus monsters!!
