Was gonna post in body forum but figured its probably suspension related so ill post here.
Im guessing ill be hearing alot about SFCs lol
Why is the gap between my rear 1/4 panel and door so much bigger on the right side of my car?

90's GM build quality. I saw a C5 (late 90's) sitting in a showroom that had about an 1/8 inch offset of the rear cap to the rear fenders to the right. Walking up to it my Dad pointed it right out.

Yep!

GM Build quality was terrible and the tolerances on third and fourth gens were quite comical. It would take a sever case for a fender to actually move. Try splitting the gap by realigning the door? Then the front fender could be pushed back a bit, and then you're golden! haha

Can you post a pic? Is there a difference in the gaps between your door and front fender?

You may check to make sure your small gap side door hing is OK and hasn't cracked the glass where it mounts to the door.
