Default 94 383 SBC to 5.3 PT76 Build Thread

First off, thanks to everyone who has provided their input to get me this far. I figured I would start a build thread. Unfortunately, all of my before pictures are in external hard drive heaven. The car started as a 94 3.4 v6, to which I swapped in a 383 sbc/t56. I sold that setup last year and began working on the current setup...
Budget 5.3
Precision T76
Tial 44mm wastegate
RPS 50mm BOV
Ebay intercooler
224/228 @114 cam and upgraded valvetrain
ARP rod bolts
LS7 clutch....for now

Anyways, here are the pics so far:

The 5.3...$400 bucks at 70k miles

motor pulled...waiting for its new powerplant

I began to clean up the front end...removing the rust and laying down some primer.

Notched out front frame for vertical griffin

<a href="http://s1227.photobucket.com/albums/ee438/CI-V-IL/Camaro%20Turbo%20LS1%20Conversion/?action=view&amp;current=1209.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1227.photobucket.com/albums/ee438/CI-V-IL/Camaro%20Turbo%20LS1%20Conversion/1209.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Repaint

A few brackets to help support the radiator

Block cleaned up and painted

Primed and painted the intake manifold and valve covers

Some more parts cleaned up

Repainted rails

Tap for the feed and drain

Started cleaning up my old firewall heater box plate

Cobalt MAP sensor installed

Cleaned up the truck manifolds

Finished up the heater plate. Double layered the sound/heat deadener on the back.

Got the engine/k-member in. Camera didnt focus very well. I will get some better pics tomorrow.

Much easier going in underneath!

lookin good so far, I like the extra time spent cleaning and preparing everything first.
I was thinking this was going to be a track car but I see you fitting the bumper support plastics, whats your plan/goal with this thing?

You're exactly right. I'm not building a max effort track car here. I just wanted something that was fun, looked clean and was "somewhat" affordable. I wasnt sure how much the front bumper cover would sag without its support, so I tried my best to keep everything intact. I'm gonna see what this 5.3 will take. I have an LQ4 waiting patiently for its demise.

RealQuick - Im running a vertical griffin and two 12" puller fans. They are supposed to move 1200cfm a piece. I'm not sure if they would have the juice to run as pushers, but they should do the trick as pullers.

Remember the P/N's of the radiator and fans?

Ive been working on the hot side the last few days. Some progress pics:

A bunch of room for the downpipe. I could have easily ran a 4" pipe.

The hot side

I painted and wrapped the hot side. Reinstalled it and began putting the cold side together.

Are you guys doing anything special with the vacuum line that runs to the brake booster? Right now mines routed straight from the back of the intake to the booster.

Also, does anyone know what size the drain plug is on the bottom of the griffin radiator?
