Question Well? Any results from RPR last night?

I saw a few posts last week saying a few members were going to Royal Purple (HRP) last night. Weather had to be sweet out there, wish I could have been there to run.

Any new bests? Or busts?

Chris' black '08 Z06 with the heads/cam package ran as slow as 12.7 and as fast as 10.9 with mph as high as 134. Track was not hooking too well for them, but the high mph backs up its dyno numbers and Texas Mile numbers. I'm sure he will chime in. Tough trying to get a good ET with street radials and a stick shift.

I did hear that Larry Sample went 10.99 in his stock internal C6 LS3 Vette. That makes him #3 on the list. I believe 10.86 is the #1 spot.

Congrads to Larry on getting that 10sec pass. I made some tweak to his trans tune. I wonder if it helped.

Also I herd from a little birdy that rpr is not kicking people out for going too fast.

Damn, negative 500 DA? That doesn't happen often around here, on days when the track is actually open. Doh!

Sorry Mike but I did not get to try your tranny changes. I tried shifting to neutral after my burnout and that 3-4 was good. Strange transmission! I'll have to save your suggested changes for the next time. Much thanks though!

I did run a 10.99 @ 125.09 mph with my bolt-on 08 C6. Stock heads and cam. This 3200 converter is just too tight to get a good launch however. I only mustered up a 1.64 60'. With this mph I should be able to get a 1.4 with the right converter. But this converter makes for a great street converter.

Track officials said nothing to me about the 10.99 and no roll bar. I had planned to make another pass as it was getting cooler around 10 pm but somebody ran off the end of the track and the line was getting very long. Decided to pack it up. I know I could have ran a little better as I must have had too much air in the tires on my 10.99 and lost a traction on the 2-3 shift. My timing in the log went negative momentairly so I know some et loss.

RPR still hasn't figured out how to run the lines. They have no concept of first come first serve. One of my friends was very aggraviated when the line next to him ran twice before his. And as always motorcyles get to go first every time! One came up after I had been in the staging lines about 15 minutes and ran before me.

Patrick, it would take a 10.81 to be #1. He ran a 10.82.

Just get a golf cart and tow your car around the line then under the tower. We do it everytime.. Never wait more than 10mins to run.

You would have ran a 9 on my trans tune...lol

DA is gonna be off the hook Friday night!
