Drag Racing Results - Fastest stock bottom end 6-speed?

How fast is the fastest stock bottom end 6-speed f-body? I just went 10.20@134 with my heads/cam car on 200 shot, six speeds inc built t-56. might have a bit left in it. tryin to dip into the 9's. anyone with a legit stock motor with only heads/cam power adder ever go 9's?

5.3 truck heads. MS3 cam. 200 shot dry 1 stage. Dan bills tuned. six speeds inc T-56. spec stage 3 clutch. moser 12.

Are you really spraying a 200 shot, that seems a bit slow no?

my bottle pressure was unkown. I sprayed 175 on my bottle (1050psi) 3 passes went 10.30's. jetted it up to 200 shot. .078 jet. then borrowed a full bottle with no gauge and heated it a little bit. no idea on bottle psi. it then went 1 tenth faster to a 10.20. i see the car goin 10.0's. i got a feeling the car on the 6-speed list that went 9.90 or so isnt even a stock motor. its 346ci with forged internals. I bought my car almost new and it really only has heads/cam nitrous.

Thats a decent time but I think the mph is on the low side for a 200 shot if you are spraying out the hole. I'm sure there has been plenty of stock bottom end cars that have run low 10s

rod bolts will prolly fall out while driving it to work. lol. the car has had spray on it for 5 years. 90k miles on the car. we trailered it to the track planning on popping the motor. somehow it held together.

Sounds like bottle pressure teetered off after the first run. She deff has lower 10's / high 9's in her if she holds together. RobZ from anger management's record is all motor...not sure what the 6spd/stock bottom end record is...There's a lot of variables. Just the LSX motor? In what body? I'm pretty sure I just read a GMHTP that had a 200 shot stock car running well into the 9's iirc. Has a silver Z28 on the front. Nevertheless, good runs and she has more in her.

What's the car run on motor only?

I never run the car on motor. I think i've went 11.70 before but it was with only a 1.7 60ft. i'm sure it could go 1.5 60fts on motor if i played with it.

that would be rediculous. it would have to be one light ass car with some bad ass heads and cam package. my car is a pig almost 3,500lbs and i only made 420hp on motor.

Not sure what 01Z went I think he was a 6speed car then went auto. Auto went 9.9 C/H and 9.6 on spray

To the OP: There are several stock bottom end vettes that have gone high nines with power adders but my favorite is the one mentioned above. lol

i'm not concerned with vettes. If my car weighed 3100lbs like a z06 i would be easily in the 9's. I said SBE 6-speed f-bodys.

out of the guys on the list, i messaged the 9 sec guys. there were 4 i belive that said 346ci. all of them have now responded and all have said they had forged rods and pistons. some were spraying as much as 225 shot. the fastest car on the list faster than my time was 10.04. he had a 100% stock motor with cam and spray. now i'm curious who has went in the 9's but never was added to that list, because there are no cars in the 9's with a stock bottom end on that list.

Had an 01 formula 6 speed with LS6 intake,ported 241 heads, medium xe grind cam (i think 226/230@.050, slp longtubes and high flo cats, 9in w/ 3.89 gears. Car weighed 3550 lbs with my son in it. On a 150 nozzle kit it went 10.64 @132 w/ 1.65 60 ft. Track was not prepped good that day and the only suspension mods were lca and torque arm. Anti -roll and some good adjustable shocks would have help in the 60 ft department I'm sure. and never went back to track before I sold the car. The trap speed was there to run some 10.30's at least with a good 60 ft. Maybe with some weight reduction and 200 shot it would have been in the 9's. So yea it is definitely possible.
