Baer Brakes installed....Finally!
Took awhile to find the time, unfortunately its just before hibernation time Kits are Extreme+ (front) and Pro+ (rear). Fronts are there 6S calipers with two piece 14" rotors. Rears are the 6P calipers also with the two piece 14" rotors. Caliper color is Competition Yellow. Ive only been driving on them for about 4 days, so I cannot say just yet how fast they haul the car down at speed. Im still in the break-in period.

I ordered them in yellow, so thats the way they are staying . I love it, although I was thinking Red with either white or silver lettering when I was ordering them. Decided to bite the bullet and take a chance on the yellow. One of the car lines at the dealer I work for is Porsche. I see alot of those cars come in with the Carbon Ceramic option (which automatically comes with yellow calipers). Seeing those cars all the time just made me want them even more. Plus you can can order yellow calipers on your GM car as seen on the CTS-V's. I wanted to get ahead of the curve, everyone else has red anyways. The Porsche yellow is lighter, these are closer to a school bus yellow, lol. I know that sounds frightening, but they look really good, IMO.

I love the color!
As for the break-in period, all you need to do is bed them in. StopTech's Bed-In Proceedure That is all I have ever done to break-in any brakes I've installed, including track-side. Now get out there and beat the snot out of them!

Batman- I ordered them direct from Baer. Great service! BMR- Baer provides a "manual" for both the front and rear kits on bleeding/break-in/rotor seasoning/pad bedding procedures. I wont be able to follow it exactly, but want to stick close..... Chriz28- no plans right now for p-valve. The rear calipers may be 6 piston, but the pistons are smaller for the rear. Gonna wait and see if I need the valve next season, it did cross my mind. Snake - I liked the bigger rotor option available than brembo gran turismo kit. Stoptech didn't offer a kit that I knew of. Plus neither of them offered anything for the rear to match the front. I didn't want stock stuff on the rear with the front looking so good!

BMR- There really isnt a mileage limit exaclty... The break-in period is daily driving for 1 week before you start to season the rotors.
UMI- They feel good. I was also surprised with bleeding them out. After reading all the horror stories on here, I was a bit worried. I flushed the whole system with a vacuum bleeder (Vacula) before I even took the old stuff off so I would only have fresh fluid going into the new lines/calipers. Once I installed the new stuff, I vacuum bleed the fluid through the calipers. Pedal felt great right away, but I pedal bled (3X) each caliper, one time around the system just to make sure I got it all. Dont know what all the commotion is about on here? Was no problem at all.
Junky- The kits come with stainless braided (and coated) hoses from Goodridge for each corner. They did not come with the rear hoses that go over the axle though....... I want to contact them again and order up a pair that I can install in spring.
The one part that I wish was optional for the rear kits was the ABS. Their kits do not offer the provisions for mounting the sensors on the rear. I had to send out the new mounting plates/bearing retainers to have the holes milled out. Yeah, I know, when I hit up track days, it would have been better to delete the ABS system so it doesnt interfere and I could use the brakes to their full potential. But I am not a Pro driver and I DD this car way more than I track it. Guess we'll see how it goes.....
