Default Broke manifold bolt in alum head of 6.0

I was putting headers on my h2 hummer and the pass side 2nd from the back bolt broke off. The bolt is busted off flush with the head and in a point so I can drill it. Any ideas is there a way to drill and tap a hole right next to this one. I can't pull the head it's my driver

Your post reads like it's accessible, but if you can't get to it just go w/o it...

Common problem on the 6.0s in the trucks. They typically come out very easily though. I have already before unbolted the cab/body mounts and lifted the body to gain access to removing the broken bolt with out removing the head

Maybe I read this wrong, but you arn't asking if you can make a NEW hole in the head and drill/tap into it, are you?

I'e repaired 100s of these (work at a dealer) and never had to pull the head or lift the body. Build up a weld on the broke part of the bolt. Don't worry, the weld won't stick to the aluminum head. Weld a nut to the bolt, then easily wrench it back and forth while slowly making progress outward. The nut may break off a few times, just keep welding a new one on. I've never not been able to extract a broken manifold bolt using this method.
