This is a 2009 4.8 (code LY2). I bought to put in project truck but changed my mind and decided to go LS1 instead. Engine is complete and ready to go. 08 and newer came with #799 casting heads same as LS6 minus the sodium filled valves. Was removed from a 09 k1500 that was damaged at the dealer before being registered. You can PM or call me at 315-725-4587, thanks!.

This looks like a good engine swap cantidate for my '04 Jeep Rubicon. Any idea on the head casting number on this engine?

Sounds like a neat project! There #799 casting equal to LS6 heads.

great deal for someone, HRM put out over 1K hp on this motor out of junk yard with a turbo.

I thought the LS6 heads were 243 not 799

They are identical valve size, cc chamber but diff physical features. I believe these do not have hollow/sodium filled valves. Other then that there the same. Good for 25-35 HP on LS1 with good cam.
