Default Thanks Jason and TDP!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Jason for all his help and building my set up. Went with the 32 spline output shaft, triple cone syncro's, corvette internals, and all the other normal upgrades. I've only putted around in it for about 15 miles or so, but hope to be able to rip threw the gears here sometime this weekend.

Give those triple-cone synchs at least 500mi of stop&go driving before ripping into it.. They'll give you many miles of smooth shifting if you let them break in.

Glad you told me that. Didn't think I had a break in period. Will do!

Just got back from a little cruise to put some miles on the trans. As of now I only have about 70 miles on it, but I've got to ask those with first hand accounts of rebuilt t56's. Will is shift smoother after some miles are put on it? As of now I am not that pleased. NOT with TDP, they where great. Just with the way the trans itself feels. Maybe I was expecting too much, but it's still notchy shifting. This is the only T56 I've ever owned, and maybe this is good as it gets IDK.

Monster stg 2
Tick M/C & Bleeder
Amsoil Brake fluid
New slave
MGW shifter
and now transmission

All done less than 4k miles ago.

Weakest link of the entire unit will be the 3rd gear outer steel ring. Those bastards like to crack under hard shifting. I'd say 50% of the Vette units I work on come in with cracked rings. Other than that, if its a 2.66 ratio gear box, it should kick ***.

I've found the billet keys tend to give a notchy feeling, especially when new. It's a worthy trade off IMHO, but they can take getting used to if you're not use to them.

Thats probably just it. I had a trans built to hold power and was expecting it to shift like butter. It is the 2.66 btw.

Just had my stage 2 clutch put in and Jason was great to deal with. He even called the shop who installed it when they had some questions. The clutch has great drive-ability too. Solid engagement, no chatter at all.

Didn't want to leave this hanging. The trans is starting to smooth out. It's still not buttery smooth, but I only have about 150 miles on it at the moment.
