which is best for me? i got a new s60 with 373s so i need a speedometer recalibration.....the car is a bone stock .........figured i might get a tune to get an extra 10-15 hp out of her, but not sure which i should do.......what are the differences betweem a street and dyno tune, and whats the differences between a dynojet and mustang dyno.....doesnt one read highrr hp than the other

I believe a street tune is where someone changes ur shift points to where it is best for drivability and WOT. Dynotune they just get the most power out of it sometimes without really messing with the trans. It probably depends on the shop though.

yea my car is an M6 so i dont need to mess with shift points....the guy said he just plugs it in, does some WOT pulls, and messes with the spark and air fuel

Usually all tuning can be done by a stret tune. Dyno's are mainly used to check the results of a tune, get a baseline and after for installs out bragging. Some of the best tuners I have met or worked with don't even have a dyno. I would day unless you just want to know what your pushing street tune should be fine. And in most cases cheaper.

all you need is a mail-order tune,,, to be honest with you, if its just a stock engine, you dont even need a dyno or street tune, the mail order tuners will be just about spot on. Frost is a very common and reputable tuner, also Texas speed and performance. Hope this helps you out.

You really need both. Street tunes to dial in the street manors and make minor adjustments that will increase driveability and part throttle performance and a dyno tune for WOT and timing adjustments.

Dynotune is deemed to be safer because there isn't any traffic involved or other cars, people, road bends, etc and consistent. However if you are out in a country with roads that hardly ever used or traffic is seldom, street tune can be done safely as well.

IMO, street tune is better because you're not racing/driving the car on the dyno.

My tuner dynotunes it and gets it where he wants, then pulls it off the dyno and drives it a bit to make sure he likes what he sees. Best way to do it IMO.
