Question Lq9,243s,ms3 plus NOS ???

I think i going to finish my car this winter. It going to be a new set up consisting in a Lq9 short block, fully ported 243s,weiand aluminum intake ported with 90mm TB 55 lbs injectors and a MS3 cam. I going to use a TH400 with 4k stall and 4.10 in the back.
Now i going to use NOS in my set up , i plan to go has far the motor hold like 225hp in 2 stages. The first like 100 hp and 2nd 125 hp. You think i need to use a progresive controler? My motor can hold that amount of NOS? Can i go low 10s in that set up??? thanks for the help.

Oh the car was in a diet i weight like 3300 with me in it.

At 3200 lbs and a smaller cam I hit mine with a 225 shot and ran 9.36. Mine was carbed with a Vic Jr. I think you will be fine

Nice to know that. I have a new set of 275/60/15 MT Drag Radial you think they can hold that power to go 10s ? I plan to buy a set of slicks too Hoosier 28x10/15.

Do i going to need a progressive controler to make the hit softer out of the hole?

I have seen guys run 10s on a 275 drag radial numerous times.

I dont think you will need 2 stages or even the 225 hit to make it into the 10s.

I think that you should hit 10's with the 150hp shot. What rear end are you running?

I take that back. You should be able to get most of the way there on motor with your set up. There's a guy on here (camscam02) that broke 10's with a stock long block and MS3 and TH400. I'd run it on motor and see where you set. It'd give you a better idea as to how much nitrous you would need to meet your goal. Good luck with it.

I've seen stock style suspension cars go bottom 8's and high 7's on that size tire.

Sounds like pretty big plans. Why not go with L92 heads since you're going to be running a 4 inch bore anyway? They flow better than 243's. Why use that junk Weiand intake? You're adding weight and heat with that monstrosity. I was thinking of running a similar combo, but with an Edelbrock Victor Jr, 4150 throttle body, and a Speedtech 2 stage diffuser plate.

You are rigth but i desided to build the car complete body work, interiors and mechanical. Now i had the heads ported with PRC spring kit and i found the intake at really good price and i portmatched it the heads and open the front to 90mm. I plan to complete the body work make this motor for fun and tune the suspension. Them i spect to use a set of L92 heads with a magnacharger and a forger motor. But that going to be at the end of next year.

You can do what you are wanting. Keep in mind anything over a 150 on a stock bottom end is risking it.

If you are breaking it into two stages you will not need to progress it. If you want to keep it one stage and gradually bring it in then you will need a progressive.
