Just to give you some back ground, the car is stock compression, no under drive pulley, stock 3:27 gears and the heads and cam are designed for my blower that is going on. So this is not set up for NA however I got a new best out of the car. I did put a driver in it also to load the convertor which is hard to do with my hand controls. Now I really can not wait to put that YSI on lol.

results are on the time slip

Thanks, I really think If I set it up like the cartek car, like racing seat, and taking the exhaust off and lightning it up plus the other mods I think I can get in the 10's but blower sounds better lol

Congrats Scotty.

PS: I don't think a racing seat will net you 11 mph. :D

We are at approximately 3800 pounds still since the last runs, we just added heavier axles, heavier drive shaft and a heavier clutch, all rotating assemblies, but we want a reliable drive train in view of whats coming. :burn:

Good luck with your blower setup, I'm sure it will fly.

Julio my brother I in no way was down playing your times.

First off I ve been 119.89mph and we know the Stick will trap higher... LOL I was just saying that your car is 300 lbs lighter than mine,, had no interior, one racing seat ect plus you have the TB,FAST and UD Pulley so I would like to see if I can keep up if I had the same. :) Dont forget Julio I learned from you :)

I am looking forward to racing nest year, we will see where my YSI takes me.

I was just saying that your car is 300 lbs lighter than mine,, had no interior, one racing seatTrue, but I wouldn't exactly call it "no interior", it had some typical 'simple bolt out' weight reduction but full factory carpeting, all interior panels, radio/speakers, AC, power steering etc. were/are still in the car. Even with that, as you well know, these cars are still VERY heavy. :nono:

Splitting hairs at this point of course :) but that driver's seat, though a little lighter than stock for sure, is certainly not one of those uncomfortable plastic Jeg's or Kirkey units either. It's a full size, steel framed, fully padded road course seat that still has plenty of girth to it with it's full sliding/adjustable locking mounting bracket, quite comfortable on the street and the long 160+ mile round trip drive to/from the track.

But yes, your car is heavier with it's full cage and all and still quite impressive with that blower cam and ported heads.

MArk dont get upset you know I love Julio and the work cartek does...lol I was just saying I would like to see what my car does apples to apples even with the blower cam, almost makes me want to run it NA with the fast 102, Mark Williams TB, UD pulley and a gear but I have to keep telling myself that the YSI is going on soon lol I have to not loose FOCUS!!!! :bang:

You should try it man, NA is fun too. :drive:

Glad to see some of the guys from the early LS1 days get these 5th gens to run, because I've seen alot of mediocre times out there.

I know the TSP car when it went 11.17 had weight reduction like skinnies, open headers, not sure if they pulled out any of the other seats...

Props! Go for an 11.29! :)

results are on the time slipCongrats on a nice run. What you didn't say was that was in about -750 DA and anywhere else in the country your built car would be an 11.7-.8x ride.

What you didn't say was that was in about -750 DA and anywhere else in the country your built car would be an 11.7-.8x ride. And your car would be SLOWER as well in a worse DA, what's your point?
Are you so very specific and extra careful to mention that your car would run slower in Colorado or New Mexico than it would in Ohio every single time you post about it as well?

Not being a hater. I looked at your slip and plugged in the numbers. 1000DA lol? Dragtimes.com is your friend!:bs: Dragtimes' numbers aren't the end all be all of total accuracy either. I've seen numbers that were derived from online sites differ from those generated by a properly calibrated hand held digital weather used right at the actual track by over 500 feet. Those online stats are often from non verified weather stations placed 20-30 feet in the air (where it is MUCH colder...and most of us try not to race our cars 20+ feet off the ground LOL) on the side of some building and sometimes up to 15 miles away from the track itself.
Close but not exact.
