Help! 17x11 or 17x9 Black Torq-Thurst or Black ZR1---NEW WHEEL PICS INSIDE!
Need some advise.... looking to buy a set of four wheels and tires, and I have narrowed it down to Black Torq-Thrust and Black ZR1 wheels.
I also want to know if I should go to a 17x11 for the rear? With a 315? I see its a common upgrade... wonder if it will rub after I install my Ebiach springs with a 1.2 drop?
Anyone lowered on 17x11 with rubbing issues?
Any advise would be helpfull!
Pictures would be great too... of either setups...
XXXXXXXXXXX UPDATE XXXXXXXXXXX Ended up going with a new setup, pics on page two.... let me know what yall think...

Do a search and you can find many pictures of cars with tt2s and zr1s. Those are probably the two most common wheels for f-bodies. I would definitely do a 10.5 or 11 inch wheel out back with 315s. It helps sit the tire flush with the fender and looks meaty.

I do want to go with the 315 after review, I just want to be sure its not going to cause problems when I lower the car (already have the Ebiach Pro Kit 1.2 DROP at home, just awaiting on shocks to get delivered).

I'd do the black TT2's to keep it classic and to go with the black strips and to me, I see more ZR1's than I do TT2's but this is just my $0.02 though. Car looks good the way it sits though but maybe the lowering would really set it off.

I would do polished TT2's personally, but if it's black you want, stick with the TT2's. I am running chrome ZR1's and love them, but if they weren't such a smokin' deal, I would be on polished TT2's or chrome TTM's for the street.

OK, Pulled the trigger! Thank you all for the responses... I ended up going with something different... I just love the classic muscle car look (hence the Hugger Orange SS I had to have) so I ended up going with this:
American Racing Torq-Thrust M's / Anthracite Finish:
BF GOODRICH G-Force Sport's:
There all 17x9 with 275/40/17 (same as what came stock) so I can rotate them, and wont have any issues once lowered, with rubbing.
The tires wont be in untill the 11th, so the entire setup mounted and balanced (tirerack) has a delivery date middle of next week!

Yes, it was hard not to get the wider for the rear... few key factors for me though, being able to rotate them, and tire selection. Its a daily driver.... and I did not want a drag radial for the rear, which limited my choices, either pay 330 + each for the Goodyear / Hoosier, or, the Cheaper Sumitomo which I did not want. This is a daily driver, and I do have yet to install my Ebiach springs, waiting on shocks for a small 1.2" drop and did not want to touch my car with a hammer to make them work. I do love the look of those wider rears though, trust me.
I will get pictures posted as soon as they arrive!

That was key for me ^ not having a good tire selection... everything rides on the tires, one of the most important quality's of how a car rides and handles.... I could not afford to get the nice GOODYEARS in a 315... would of been 700 for just the two rear tires! Then not being able to rotate all 4, so having to replace them every couple of years...
Also, I heard enough bad about the Sumitomo to steer clear from them... so I went with a mid grade selection tire rather than going for a cheap wider tire only for good looks.
To each there own, and I will keep this updated once I get them on!
Thanks again for the input!
