C5Z vs Evo 8 So a buddy of mine has an Evo 8 with some stuff done to it, and I wanted to race him to bench mark my car before it goes under the knife this winter...
His car issssss....
2005 Evo 8 w/ SSL (full weight including spare tire)
Full Bolt-Ons, Kelford 272 Cams, IX Turbo, FIC 1450cc Injectors, e85
and mine....
02 Z06, vararam and LT's and untuned...

oh and if you are wondering what happened the last few races...I was having issues getting the car out of third and let off...

Get a tune and you'll be door to door with him. Get a cam and a tune and you'll put a few cars on him. Put heads cam and a tune and you will be the host of the rape show!!!

yeah, hes had the car a long *** time and drives it well. When he break boosts like that, and I break traction...its an immediate 1 or more car pull as seen in the video 
and 1992talontsiAWD is right about that...if he went with an even bigger turbo I would have my hand full even with a h/c set up. Hell, the setup hes on right now hes over prolly just a touch over 400...
I don't think I will be doing heads, but I can't win a race up here with my car so I might just do a cam/tire/spray and see where that puts me

... Great vids... Looked like both cars were about even but the vette spun just enough to not make it back.
I have a similar setup on my evo and have about the same resuly with the ls3 cars... Until the dragstrip...lol.

...It's just as easy as installing it on the Corvette...
