Default Finally, tires arrived, mounted & on ... "Weld RT-S deal is too good to pass up"

Well, I have been looking for drag wheel deals (new or used) for several months now, but I always go back to Race Stars as the budget option. Now with Weld's rebate program, RT-S's can be had for $170 more than the same size Race Stars .... I am sold!!!

My problem? ... I cannot decide between polished or black anodized. So, please post any photos that you have of Pewter 4th gen Camaros with 15" RT-S's in black anodized and/or polished. I prefer photos in the "standard" 4th gen sizes/backspaces (15"x4"-1.5" BS / 15"x10"-7.5" BS) since I am running a stock width rear.

I think either would look great, but I just need a nudge in one direction or the other.

Black would look sick on your car and match the tail panel if they are going on the car in your sig.

Either would look good. Black would be easier to keep clean, unless you plan on coating the polished versions something different on the centers.

Very true ... I had not thought about the upkeep on the polished version, although, they will for the track duty only. I do have previous experience with polished wheels and it is alot of work. Thanks for the point.

I am starting to lean towards the black ... I have the chrome ZR1's for the street, so I guess it would be a change. I am surprised there are not more members with the black RT-S's on Pewter.

By the way, I love the NBM .... that was the color I was searching for, but when a great deal comes your way, sometimes you have to give up something. In my case it was color. I am looking forward to getting it on the track next year.

$976.00 (black or polished) delivered w/lugs, caps & chrome stems, then in 8 or so weeks, you receive a $100 Mastercard gift card from Weld ... essentially, $876.00. Race Stars are $699.00 delivered w/lugs, caps & chrome stems. I understand that the Weld's will have a price increase at the first of the year and the reabate is good until December 31st.

Yep ... you sure do, but it is another $456.00 to go to the 17" front. Too rich for me! That will pay for 2-1/2 slicks! According to Weld Racing's RT-S Rebate Form, the rebate program is for wheel purchases in pairs only and the rebates are PER WHEEL at $25 each for 15" & 17" and $50 each for 18" & 20".

Still no photos of a Pewter 4th gen with stock width rear and these wheels??

Not trying to burst your bubble man, but its not $25 Per Wheel, its Per Pair, so if you order a set of fronts/Rears you get $50 gift card, not $100. Either way there bad *** wheel i have a set of 15's for the rear and ordering a set of 17 for the front by the end of the month

Not trying to burst your bubble while you were trying "not" to burst my bubble, but it is $25 per wheel as I mentioned, not $25 per pair ...

You can call Weld Racing direct or even Jim's Racing Tires or Atlanta Chassis Dyno as I did and all of them said "definitely" $25 per WHEEL (15's & 17's) or $50 per WHEEL (18's & 20's) and NOT per PAIR. That's $100/set of 4 on a 15".

The rebate form states it's "per wheel" but you only get the rebate card for each pair purchased so you have to but at least two rims.

Jims is right down the street and I'm thinking of picking up a second set in polished since I already have black (which I bought just DAYS before this rebate offer).

Well thats my misunderstanding of the rebate form then, sorry i did not know that you had called them, makes sense that it is per wheel, but you have to buy a pair to get the $25 per wheel back, no singles. was just trying to clarify something!( that i was wrong on, my bad) works in my favor then too for my 17" fronts!

No problem ... I am just glad you were not able to burst my bubble. Actually, according to Weld Racing (salesperson Gail), the rebate is per wheel no matter how many, even if it's a single.

The rebate card is kind of confusing and states the program exactly like you posted, but according to Weld Racing, the rebate is good for a each wheel even if it's one. There website RT-S special offer states "For every RT-S wheel purchased, get a free gift card from Weld Racing"
