2000 Stock C5 ***Before***
Took the C5 to the shop today for a "before" chart. This is a 2000 C5 LS1 with stock everything except air cleaner (Blackwing) and catback (Corsa Pace Car). Car has 190,000 miles on the clock
Plans are to replace all the top end with LS6 stuff and pack in a mild cam.

The numbers are from a Dynojet at TPS in Campbell. I've heard those things are generous.
We looked through their files at other 97-00 C5s (before the LS6 intake) and the highest on the same dyno was 312. Mike has his suspicions that as is - it ain't stock. The car has an interesting background according to carfax. Purchased new at the end of 99 and driven alot till 2002. Then not much. Then repo. Then I bought it in early 06. The whole time it was in Texas till that point.
I won't know about the cam till I take it out. I was hoping for Thanksgiving week - but I don't think I'll have the heads by then. My house is covered in intake, lifters, trays, springs, gaskets... just need some heads.

If you have to stay Cal-emissions legal...stock cat location; BBK makes a nice
ceramic coated shorty header for $400, happy w/mine....they claim 10-12 but
the Vette manifolds are a decent tri-y design so I'm sceptical. I plopped them
on a scale and 25lbs. are missing off the front of the car now. They fit nice and NAPA donut gasket 31508 is a full 1/4" larger inside diameter than the
stock piece.

Gas here in CA is terrible, so 60 cc heads won't work at all.
When you get everything back up and running - I'd like to see the car some weekend.
