I Dynoed my car yesterday and my TQ is very low. “TRak Cam”

I'm happy with the HP but, I wish my TQ was a little higher….Is it common for this cam to have such low TQ?? Should I look at a different cam all together? I will be spraying the car but I would like my numbers to be a little better.

At the end all that matters is what it does at the track, I just hate to see my Tq #'s so damn low. 385 Tq

My list of mods are below for the ones asking what it has…

388hp was Cam only & LS6 intake.
419hp was with all my mods but the converter wasn't locked.
461hp was with the converter locked.

I will have my nitrous numbers up in a week or so.

I dont think it is low, this is my graph of a locked converter, PRC stage 1 ls6 heads, 235/243 cam ls6 intake. you made more torque than me and a lot more hp

Seems about right, remember you have a big ass stall and 3.73 gears.

Should I look at another cam then?

I wouldn't worry about it one bit unless it underperforms at the track.

I'm going to take it to the track next week so we will see how it does. If everything goes as planned I should be into the 9's

3240 Raceweight.... Might be able to shave a little bit more.

I have a trax cam as well.I had similar mods as you with my old 347 m6, it made 389tq and only 427hp thru a 12b/411 gears.My stock long block lq9 with trax cam& mods made 410tq& 430hp.I think your hp is really good& tq is ok.

i just have H/C/I and just thought it should have been better... But I will take it out to the track next weekend and see how it does.

seems about right to me HP seems to be way higher on the 346 cars with cams.
