BMR Suspension
Xtreme Anti-roll Bar for 3rd and 4th Generation F-Body
Xtreme Anti-roll Bar for 3rd and 4th Generation F-Body
Reduce torque steer and improve launch traction in your 1982-2002 F-Body with an Xtreme Anti-roll Bar from BMR Suspension. This newly designed 1-3/8” tubular rear sway bar features 2 adjustment locations that range from 1013% to 1632% stiffer than the OE sway bar. This kit includes a lightweight anti-roll bar, bolt-in axle mounting braces, bolt-in frame mounting braces, high-durometer polyurethane mounting bushings, and double-adjustable spherical bearing end links. A BMR Xtreme Anti-roll bar (XSB001) will decrease body roll and dramatically increase the launch stability in your 3rd and 4th generation Camaro or Firebird. Available in red and black hammertone powdercoat finishes. Installation time of 2-3 hours.

As long as you have sway bar mounts welded to your M9 the newly designed BMR anti-roll bar will bolt right up. The back brace on the M9 will get in the way of our bolt-in sway bar mounts. If you do have the back brace and you dont have the sway bar mounts you can weld on a set of our sway bar mounts and the anti-roll bar will bolt right up.

Its a 35mm rear bar, thats absolutely ridiculous, and thats the same size of the largest front bar available (actually I think you can get a 36mm front bar, but still). This is a strait up drag bar and will have your rear riding very rough, and cause major oversteer.

We have quite a few guys who drive there cars regularly on the street without any issues. As long as the car is driven reasonable with it you can easily drive this on the street.
It will transfer some additional noise because the anti-roll bar is solidly mounted to chassis. The rear bar is super stiff so when driven hard in a corner it will cause oversteer. As long as the car is driven reasonably you can easily drive it on the street.
We definitely state that this is a drag race anti-roll bar and is by no means a bar for any kind of handling.

What drill do you guys use? Must be pretty small. There is no clearance for my Skil drill, so I bought a 90* angle attachment... still no room to get a clear straight run at it. I drilled carefully centered pilot holes to then go to the inboard side and finish the holes from inside, but there is also not enough room for my drill coming from inboard. I got the 90* attachment up in there and still no amout of twisting or turning would give me a good straight run at the hole.
I am going to pick up a Unibit tomorrow since it is only about 2" long from the drill chuck and see if that helps, but if you can show me a better solution or where to buy a really small yet powerful enough drill I'd appreciate it.

This is my second car with the BMR Xtreme, but the other car has the older style one with the weld-on brackets - but that makes no difference. It sees a good bit of street time and there is no problem as long as you remember what you are driving.
I often cruise out to street meets with that roll bar out back, NO front sway bar, DR's out back and skinnies up front. Goes without saying that I don't take highway off ramps aggressively. I keep in mind which car I am driving so I never have a problem.
