Default Bad to leave front suspension unloaded?

I haven't driven my car for over a year now and I have the rear loaded with jack stands on the axle tubes but the front is on the inner frame lift points. Been hearing this is actually a bad idea. Is it bad for the suspension to be stored while unloaded?

I would think it wouldn't be good to have the front shocks fully extended for a long period of time, and probably with the lower rear vertical A-arm bushing also.

i had the engine out of my t/a for quite some time, then the car sat on jackstands, when i put the new engine in and lowered the car to the ground seems as the shocks wouldnt not bleed down, car looked liek it was about to launch.lol i jarred the suspension with my body weight and drive it some and they seemed to have settled to their original ride height...so to answer your question, in my personal experience....yes.

That bushing will tear over time if it is rubber. Can't be good for poly either. Rod ends would be fine though.

Many shocks sit on the shelf fully extended for a couple years while they wait to be sent to a happy home. Call the manufacturer and see if it's a problem, but I don't believe it is.

Mine sat in the air for a couple weeks. Sat it down and had no issues.
