Default Ran into my first Cobra.....

I had tuned a buddies TBSS and a guy he knows wanted to run my car. I don't know what year his Cobra is but he says it is has an x-pipe and some sort of cat back exhaust, upper pulley, and tune. Prior to this tune he says he dyno'd 430. He asked if I was spraying...lol, I said no, just a tune only auto SS (2010). He chuckled and we hit the highway. He wasn't down for a dig run, he wanted a 50 or 60 roll. So we did both, 50 first and 60 next. At 50, that is the middle of my 2nd gear, 60 is right at the bottom of third and it wont allow for downshift to 2nd at that speed.
He slept a bit on the first run, but here are the vids... Afterwards they wanted to see under the hood, blah blah, asked if tuning was my only mod...basically they think I''m lying Oh well, his car runs good, we'll see what happens after I do the lt's.

Good eye, I didn't read the 430rwhp part. So how does a 430rwhp 03 Cobra lose to a 108mph SS?

It's a supercharged car. I don't know if I believe the 430 HP tho. Best case scenario my car could run a 12.6. I figured I should get destroyed.

You can clearly hear the blower, its definitely an 03-04 Cobra. Sounded close to stock however, not pulleyed, unless he started in a bad gear or something.... idk

Good run OP!

looks about right for an older pile of horse crap cobra with a basic supercharger kit on it. Good run and honorable loss: his car probably traps 6-10mph higher then yours.

He slept on the first one, I got a lil jump on him. On the 2nd run we started at the same time, he pulled pretty good.

with full bolt-ons and a pulley it would make around 430whp. I have a friend that just did it. He made 429whp on his last pull.

Nice runs. The Cobra definitely slept on the first run and made up for it on the 2nd one like it should have. I don't know what everyone is complaining about!

Nice funs OP. Those cobras are hell man. Is it just me or does it seem like dyno numbers are getting wildly different results. Seems likea couple years ago you could get pretty close numbers. Hell i see people posting that their bolt on ls1's are making 370 rwhp.

Could be a 99-01 Cobra with a heaton swap based on the fog lights.

jeez guys, lets try reading.

430whp BEFORE THE TUNE. Makes perfect sense. Not every modded cobra on planet earth makes 480whp. My buddy had one with a chokemaster catback, stock lightening pulley, intake/tune and made 440whp.

camaro also got a good jump on the first run, thats huge. second run, he got pulled pretty good, everything is exactly as it should be.

That's what I thought. Our local track is only 1000 ft. He runs about .1 to .2 quicker in the 1000. He is .1 quicker in the 1/8 but he is trapping 89.xx to my 86.xx in the 1/8.
