Default Is this normal? Crankshaft grooves

I noticed this while changing the cam. LS1 that just turned 31k miles. Is this normal machining?

I'll take a picture of one that I have at the shop right now, but yea they have that rough machining on the flyweights.

Edit...Opps meant to say counter-weight not flyweight. Flyweight is a boxing class... duh!

That's a counter-weight. They aren't machined slick by any means.

Front counter weight, LQ4 6.0L 2005. You can see the grooves that are typical.
