Default Timing Chain Stock 5.3 twin turbo's

I just want to make sure I do this correctly. I am using the stock bottom end 5.3 to do a twin turbo, street/strip/E85 build. Since I am using new patriot gold dual valve springs, should I replace the stock timing chain or leave it? If replacing it what single HD chain should I replace it with. Trying to keep this on a budget but am using ARP bolts, opening the ring gap, new valve springs, and the XER 273 cam. Using that cam would it still be a stock replacement timing chain? Any opinions with part#'s welcome.

Thanks. I did search first but it seems the answer was just always HD timing chain. I was trying to find something a little more specific with a part # if possible.

Ls2 timing chain should work fine. Around $40.00 I got mine from Scoggin Dickey. From everything I have read I'm not convinced you have to open the ring gaps at all. I have run 15 psi on 93octane and have zero problems with the stock gaps. I seriously considered opening them while I had the heads off to change lifters but didn't see it as necessary. I would at least upgrade to LS7 lifters while you are in there. My oem lifters started making a lot of noise after putting patriot golds on, maybe bleeding pressure to fast from the higher seat pressure?

We use the Iwis Ketten C5R chain for everything. Never a broken chain. Ive seen way too many broken LS3 chains due to the failed dampener, so we run the best.

Running a c5r chain here as well. May be a bit pricey, but it gives you that piece of mind knowing no one has ever broken one.

Plenty of fast cars running the stock LS2 chain without issues. Ls2 and 5.3 chains are the exact same. Spend your money elsewhere

Thanks. We are not opening them much. We were going to open the top ring to .023 and the second to .025.

Thanks for the help gentlemen.
