Default Painted my BRAKE MOTIVE rotors

I was going to paint them with more red but I thought it would be a overkill so I just added a little red. anyways here you go. Yes I got the idea from a guy on here that powder coated his rotors for his show car.

I need to clean them up a bit but I'm sure the break pads will do the rest lol

I was going to do them like this but again thought it would be a overkill with the red. I did a photo shop of them and NO I didn't end up painting them like this...

What kind of paint did you use? If its not heat paint its going to flake right off. If it is heat paint I dont see it lasting long. Brakes get VERY hot, and that paint might bond to the backside of you wheel and make it difficult to remove.

I like the idea, but I think powdercoating would hold up better/longer for something like this.

high temp engine paint and yes I know this wont last but I wasn't trying to pay a lot of money to have them powder coated. Next time I get a better break set up then I might powder coat them. I also used high temp clear as well.

I know the paint on the HAT of the rotor will hold up no problem but IDK about the slots. cost me a whole $12 dollars so I'm not tripping.

Even the paint on the hats may flake off. Like I said brakes get more hot than what people think. Im not knocking what you did in any way so dont take it the wrong way.

A buddy of mine just did this on his lifted square body that he has built himself and gives a special touch to everything he does on it. He painted the hats just like you did with heat paint and within a month it has already started to flake.

I painted my caliper and hat over 2 years ago on my old rotors and no flaking at all, I didn't even use high temp paint Oh and its my DD as well so I know the hat will hold up. I prepped them good.

Should hold up fine - I used silver Duplicolor caliper paint on my rotor "hats" and they're holding up great so far on my eBay drilled brakes

yeah, i also painted my hats a longgg time ago and they're fine. Used a self etching primer, then shot them with either an engine or brake enamel, can't remember which.
