77 Nova, 5.3, cam and carb, mild port work, th350, JW 3800 converter, 4.10's, 255 radials and CalTracs.

Car went 12.77 @ 106 on motor, at 4200 ft, 7300 ft DA. Going to do some chassis work this winter, and see what it will do next summer. I'm hoping to run some low .60's, maybe a high .50. Then it's spray time!!

Thanks guys!! The car is a junkyard special! To be honest, it's much quicker than I thought it would be. Not bad for a baseline ET, now it's time to actually do some tuning!!

Clean car man and great time. I love seeing late model x bodies getting love. I have a '76 that looks identical down to the plaid back seat. Not LS powered yet but it will be.

Why wouldn't ya love a Nova?!! :DI don't like most classic cars looks. err well, i feel like some of the old cars are faces only a mother or father could love lol I happen to think novas are sex

Thanks man!!! I've always been a fan of disco Novas, sure they aren't as asthetically appealing as earlier Novas, but I don't understand why people dislike them so much? They aren't that bad. I love my plaid interior, gets more comments than the rest of the car!! Good luck on your LS swap, it's pretty easy in these cars.

Yep, I was pretty mind blown too!! First pass it went 12.99 with a little stumble off the line, so I jet down a little, and it was running consistant low .90's, high .80's. Then some cloud cover came in, air cooled off, and it busted off the .77!! I was kind of disappointed because I went out on a redlight that round, until my brother got back to the trailer with the timeslip. I was fuckin amazed to see that it went that quick. I forgot all about the fact that I just got beat. I also forgot to mention that my best 60 ft with the car is a 1.78. I will be running the car at one of our other local tracks that's about 1k ft lower than the track we ran on this year. With some chassis tuning, and having my "good carb" on the thing, I'm hoping to maybe get into the .50's. I would kill to be able to run this thing at sea level, but that's a pretty loooooong drive for me. I'm damn happy with how well it's running up here in the mountains!

Had my shit at the track a couple weeks ago for the first time this year, a little late in the year I know, anyway best ET of the weekend was a 7.94 @ 87 mph. No major changes from last year, some different fuel system stuff and that's about it. One of the conversions my friend and I looked at said that would be a 12.45. I don't know if I would take that to the bank, but I know the car is definatly faster than last year.

Oh yeah, then my transmission took a shit, broke the pump. My converter will not come out, it's stuck in the pump. Going to a 1/4 mile track in a couple weeks. Updates as they happen, film at 11. :)
