Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - Old 5.0 ???

I posted a while back about this car but after finding a little more out about it I figured I'd ask again. A guy I know has a fox mustang and everybody around here says its the fastest thing on 4 wheels. His mods are GT40 crate engine (302), GT40 heads, GT40 intake, I know hes never been tuned, full exhaust, not sure which alphabet cam, all the msd stuff, 5 speed (some kind of aftermarket), 390 gears. Would a full bolt on Fbody run with this set up?

My friend had one almost to the t with what you described, with a little weight reduction went 11.7 consistantly...

Probably makes 300 or so rwhp.

From a roll though it wouldn't run anything like a H/C/I LS1 right? That 11.7 was probably with one hell of a holeshot.

Most of the 5.0s I have seen that werent BUILT are all 1st-3rd. They fall on their face top end without a power adder or stroker.

Didnt 60' as hard as my car, he went 11.7 @ 114 1.60 60' On a 100 shot it went 11.01 @122.

My h/c/i ls1 went anywhere from 125-132 in the 1/4 depending on what setup I had at the time, so I walked him hard, but I have seen h/c/i ls1's trap 112 so it's up to you and your setup....and really on your driving..

edit-Just noticed you trap 117, wouldnt worry too much.

The 117 was with a 2.5 60 peddling before the intake and tune. Slick sumitomos lol. Its got alot more in it. Its the fast 102, prc 215s and ms4 set up.
