Very nice! Not many people expect 4 door sedans to click off a 10 sec pass!

I noticed a bit of TQM in the shifts but, Call Circle D and Get the BUILT A6 on order. 2nd gear will be calling you up soon. I have burnt my share of STOCK A6's...

Yep. Tq management is still active. I NEVER remove it totally (as in turn it off via enablers). That's a mistake alot of tuners make. Maybe yours was? Instead, I actually TUNE it using the pressure modifier tables, the shift time tables, and tq management spak timing.
I've got a few of them out there at about this power level and they're all going strong.
BTW, this was done on a email tune. :burn:

I was running in the 9's with my A6. I was building and tuning the tranny. It would last 100+ passes with 10% TQM left and maybe 20 with 50% or more. Heat would go thru the roof WITH the TQM. I ended up buying the SUPER drum clutch pack setup from Circle D and all the hard parts that have a tendency to break. Trans is stout but everything has it's limits.

How are you determining percentage? If you leave the TQ enabled, and just tune it, there's no real way to determine percentage. You can only increase/decrease shift time, pressure, and TQ management timing. What are you refering to when you state "10% Tq management left"?

By adjusting the Torque Factor and Torque Factor Adder, you can adjust the TQM in each gear by a %. This is how I kept 2nd gear around alot longer.

That's not really torque management. Those are shift time tables. They're in seconds (-32 to 32).
If you adjust them, and then log your desired torque and delivered engine torque you'll see they don't change using those tables.
The only real way to tune the torque management is using the engine tables. Timing and ETC.

You should dabble with those tables before you write them off. Remember that you are dealing with a clutch on clutch transmission, which is prone to make alot more heat than the OLD clutch in DRUM tranny's.

Just awesome. I love the new V's. A guy at my local track has one, he's in the high 10's IIRC, his Trans is slipping a bit though. Congrats!

I do "dabble" with those tables. I haven't "written them off". I'm pretty confident in how they work. I'm also very well educated on how the A6 is constucted and how it works in general. I'm an ASE master tech, L1 (Advanced level specialist) certified, a former advanced diagnostics tech school instructor, and on and on. Almost 30 years experience, several of those years as a Caddy specialist, back in the early to mid 90s during the NorthStar years.
