Arrow Ok guys who has the best cam in your opinion?

I look through the posts and all i see is different post on different cams and questions well, lets just see which cam works the best. So if you have a cam let me and everyone who reads the post know what you think about your cam and lets have you cam specs. Yes some people just have some bolt ons and yes some people have many mods and there are different cams for these different mods but im just interested in the certain cam popularity between different cams. Thanx guys.

.
There are hundreds of different cams for tons of different applications. Some make globs of power, but run like *** ... some make just alittle power, but sound alot like stock, etc.

Really depends on what you're lookin for in a cam.

It's according to what you're trying to do. Asking simply "what is the best cam" is like saying what's your favorite movie. You'll get 100 different answers.

Anyway, I'm kinda partial to the Stealth II cam.

Yeap, best cam for what??? Street, strip, all out race, M6, A4, N/A,Nitrous???? want me to go on?
When you do a H/C swap, you have to decide what is the application for, and design all the engine/drivetrain/suspension package to match. A winning combo is a well balanced combo. mtb

The best cam is the biggest one that gives you what you want.

Joe Overtons Country BumpStick 419/390 stock heads, peaking at 6250 rpm. if you want to go fast. Definitely doesnt do for a stealth cam

Perhaps it's the smallest one that gives you what you want.

Your original factory "cam works the best"! Will get best fuel econony of any, run smoothest, last the longest, longest valve train life, and give least tuning problems. However, the least amount of fun!

It would be better tell tell us what you want to do with the car. Basically what type of power do you want HP TQ? How do you want to achieve those numbers NA, Turbo, N20, supercharger? What compenents do you have? What are you going to add lid, headers, pulleys, gears, stall converter? These all must match and compliment each other for maximum power and driveability.
