Who's Going to the LA Autoshow Started yesterday thru next Sun, I think next Wenesday for me, Got to see the good stuff along with the shamwow! down stairs in Kenitia hall.

The 650 hp Shelby Cobra motor Me too and my friends this is how Ford plans to make 650 hp the new SUPER CHARGED 5.8 (yes that = 351 cid) 4v motor.
And Ford has packed in ALL of the good forged stuff. My bet is a NA (simple math says the NA version of this motor will make about 490hp) version of this engine is in the Mustangs future. I looks like Ford is building on the Best GM and Perf. Technology available. The HP war just got very interesting.
The car I was most impressed with, this 1965 MB W111 220.
Stuffed with this a 2005 369hp AMG 5.5
Looks like the Germans have got the engine swap bug.

I went to the show yesterday and got to test drive a few chevys including the transformer Camaro which my son loved and I test drove all 3 of the 556hp Caddy's CTS-V's. Mopar and Ford also had test drives but I got tired.
It must have been a best kept secret cause I didn't encounter any crowds at either test drive. I must say the V's are simply awesome cars PERIOD!

well Ferrari and Lamborghini havnt been in years...plus now theres no Mercury, Saturn, Saab, hummer or pontiac. not even sure why buick, honda and toyota had booths as they had no concept cars or cool cars, just show room cars.
Kentia Hall was about 1/2 the size it used to be, so i guess theres less vendors.
I expected to see a new Viper, C7 corvette, maybe the next camaro, and a replacement for the Ford GT...kinda disappointed.
