User Support & Resources - LS1tech emails blocked by smartscreen

Obviously I want to change this, and enjoy reading info from the site. It is something on this side, or do I need to do something from my hotmail. I don't see anything to change the status other than show content. No way to allow sender etc.

Try reviewing the following article by Microsoft to see if this will resolve the issue. Basically, you want to enable your account to trust emails sent from LS1Tech:

Just added do_not_reply@ls1tech.com as a safe sender. I guess we will see what happens when the next subscription email arrives.

adding to safe list didn't help. I stepped down the security, and hopefully it can get by

In that case, about the only other suggestion I can make is to contact Hotmail and inform them that they aren't delivering the email - despite being added to your Safe list. Once the LS1Tech email server makes the connection and delivers the email, there is very little LS1Tech can do beyond that.

As you are a Hotmail customer, you will likely have better results.

gonna change to another email address and see if hotmail will block that too

changed to another email address(using forwarding from a school alumni account), added do not reply as a contact, and it seems for now that it is ok. We will see if the reply here trips the filter.
