Is it very complicated to do the LS swap into these cars with a th 350 or 400 trans? This is going to be a strip car only because it's not registered and it's gutted beyond repair... Or should I just put in a gen 1 sbc and be done??? If I need to change mounts and bunch of other stuff I can't afford. This is an EXTREME budget car!!!!

LS is pretty easy..expecially with a TH 350 or 400..

Well budget is small because I don't want to drop a ton of money at once. This is a secondary project so it will be an extra cash kinda thing. I would like to get motor,tranny,gears for under 2k. I have a guy that can set gear pack up, I can build the tranny and a guy says he can get me a motor for cheap. After building my last project it's not the major stuff I'm concerned with its the smaller things. Aluminum for interior,seat,belts,guages, mounts for everything..etc..

You should be able to do motor, trans and gears for under $2k depending on how fast you want to go and how long you want it to last.

If you're wanting to stay with an extreme budget, just go sbc and be done with it.

But I really want an LS... It will probably end up gen 1-2 motor.
