Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - Ported Intake and Ported Throttle Body

Being on a budget i am gonna port the intake manifold and the throttle body. How much gains could i expect by doing this

Intake manifold - 5-15 i would say... depending on the level of porting
throttle body - maybe 1-3... mostly just throttle response

yeah everything is so damn expensive. As much as i would like to buy a fast intake it is out of my reach

A good stage 2 port can get you 10-15. I did it, and immediately noticed an improvement. Talk to Poolshark on ls1gto

Ported my own Intake even cut out the pilars and epoxied the holes in the intake floor. It took me about 10-12 hours, but I do run full weight 11.50's.

That's correct. If your car has never been tuned, tuning could add another 5-10 rwhp.

I have a basic ported unit and had it installed at the same time as my Svede OTRCAI. I felt a decent gain and it makes a great noise on the intake side. I may look into having my old intake "radically" ported If I decide not to sell it.

i think i got 3 HP from my ported TB(not worth it in my opinnion), not sure what i gained from my throttle body. maybe 7-10.

are you in voorhees NJ? talk to andrew from CSP, he does TB and intake porting. he usually has some in stock, just swap yours off.

Yeah im from Voorhees N.J. CSP in west chester .... have had a few people tell me to go there.I def want to get my car dyno tuned after i get that done
