Default Best Converter for 300 shot??

I have a forged bottom end and a MS4 cam, i am looking to spray a 300 shot at the car very soon but i dont think my converter can handle it. right now i have a Yank SS 4000. i wanted to know what would be the best converter for my application.

It'll probably be too loose, but Loudmouth LS1 was hitting his SS4000E with a 300 shot running low 9s. I don't think Yank makes the extreme version for the SS series anymore. Check with Yank.

You definitely need to go tighter. Yank is going to tell you to send it in to get restalled more than likely. Somewhere around 3500 would go good with that much spray and that cam.

i would do that but a 3500 would be too small, i think my car would buck and shake when i drove it around

Are you setting your car up strictly for nitrous? The MS4 won't like that 3500 too much on motor, but it should do well on the bottle. Rear gear and tire size plays a part as well.

Call Coan as well. Great customer service, good prices, and custom built. Mine was 525 a year or so ago.

Listen to these two guys. FTI has built some of the best converters for the fastest cars out there. I deal with Coan personally. They have the best customer service. If you call Coan, ask to speak to Walker. He is a very knowledgeable guy and will help you any way you can.

I wouldn't use a PTC converter for nothing more than to hold my shop door open. I had 2 send a converter back to them three times for a balance issue and they still couldn't get it right. I put my Coan back in and no more issues. This was on a 700r4 transmission.

I run an FTI 5000 and spray 150 on mine. But it's strictly 1/8th only on the juice. So you will need to go tighter for a 300, how much? That's up to the experts. But with a 300 shot, I dont feely you'll get a converter to handle the nitrous and still run good on motor. But call Greg, they have a sale goin right now, so best time to call.

Good deal. You won't be disappointed. Carter01 runs their converter with a 300 shot

It was not speced for a 300 shot but Greg told me to spray it anyways. It seems to be doing well on it but possibly blowing through a little on the big end. It was kind of hard to tell tho for on my 9.84 pass it spun a bit on the hit. Going back next Sat to see if i can get her to hook.
