Question Will Z06 seats fit a 1998 Camaro SS

Does anyone know does the Z06 corvette seats bolt right in on a camaro? Or is the any who makes a leather seat that looks like the corvette z06 seats? I just like the black and red leather look of the Z06 seats. Plus my drivers side seat is starting to show wear.

well the floor panel isn't the same so i would say no. But then again the slide track on the camaro may bolt to the seat bottom!

Yes, the seats + brackets will bolt in. Do a search on the subject, we discussed it pretty thoroughly not too long ago.

The seats are definately awesome, but the problem is finding the actual Z06 seats. Not too many people want to part with them, and if they do, they usually go for around $1500+. Obviously there are plenty of aftermarket seats available for that price, it's just a matter of which ones you like the best. I doubt you'll find some that look like the C5 sport seats, but you might be able to find some you like just as much.

Here's a link to an auction for some '02 Corvette Sport Seats.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2466954508

Right now they are at $450, and the reserve isn't met. The seat covers look kinda beat to me, so if you were to go with some new OE seat covers, you'd be looking at another $829. And that is still not real leather, Corvette America offers real leather sport seat covers for $929.

I want the seats so bad, but there are a few things that need to come first before I spend $1500 on OE seats.

Did you mean the Corvette seats will bolt to the F-body brackets, or do you really mean the Corvette seats (bracketry and all) will bolt into an F-body as is? I remember a while back that a couple guys had done this, and they had to do some fabrication for the passenger side.

I had measured the brackets some time ago. I believe they are both 22 some odd inches long, I've seen it done before.

I've seen the guy who had 4 vette seats in his TA. 2 up front, and 2 out back, I can see having to do some fabricating for the rear, but the fronts should bolt up somewhat easily.

Do the Vette seats fold foreward like the f-bodies do. Just a minor point if he still has backseats and wants to retain their functionality. I've been wondering if the swap would be worth it, considering regular vette seats are just as expensive, yet easier to find then T/A buckets with all the goodies.

Yes they fit and fold forward and everything. I'm pretty sure you can hook up the adjustable stuff too

Wouldl ove to see this. Anyone got pics? This sound like it would be kind of odd and a real head banger for the poor people in the back lol
