Default question for those who have installed comp trunnion upgrade

Have any of you ran into a problem with valve cover clearance issues? A local shop informed me that the baffles on fbody valve covers baffling will hit the trunion and suggested truck ones or ls6 covers.

Anyone else experienced this? First I heard of it

The shop isnt looking to gain anything from me. The owner who im friends with just happened to post something about it on facebook. I then asked because I have a set waiting to go on. And thats why Ive come here to ask. He put a set on his personal car and had to get a different set of valve covers.

What model/year engine was it? Maybe this is a problem just for certain cars. I havent seen the underside of an ls cover but on an Lt4 car ive had to cut out beffeling to clear rockers. Would it be an issue to do the same with ls1 valve covers?
