Default i'm gettin flowtech headers need opinions

I'm goin to be gettin flowtech headers and their offroad y-pipe. I'm goin to keep the stock catback just for the stock look. I'm leaning toward the coated headers and uncoated y. For the price they can't be beat, and on a part time job goin to high school, they seem perfect. Does anyone have a soundclip of how this will sound though? I'm hoping it will have a deeper sound and get rid of the sewing machine sound. I'm thinkin i will gain around 25 rwhp, is this about right? Lookin to get into the 12.7s with stock tires and later on a ported throttle body. Thanks all.

Thumbs up

I'm looking into the same set up (except with the cheaper uncoated headers) with my stock exhaust and a cut out and am also curious as well.

I was wondering how they are too. I was thinking about getting some.

Basically I'm just wondering how it will sound.

Yeah I'm wondering as well. I'm considering the same setup as you, stock catback and all (i'm gonna put a QTEC after the y-pipe for the track though ). I'm all about the sleeper image.

The FlowTech and Hooker headers are designed to be run with their offroad pipes so the car will be noticeable louder. It won't be extreamly loud with your stock catback but the sound will be much deeper.

Hope this helps,
Tom
