ls build
im new to the chevy world. im doing a ls swap in my 1990 300zx.
just wanted to know if this is a good combo and get some feedback from you guys
i got a 5.3 ls engine. was thinking i want a t56 tranny.
ls6 heads and intake off a 2001 corvette. im under the impression they bolt rite up to the block. now im wondering if the cam from the corvette will work. and if not what would be my best option for a cam

The heads and intake will bolt right in, you got it. The only problem is depending on what truck water pump you have, the throttle bottle may collide, so beware. But don't fret either, there are ways around it with different water pumps. 2008+ year (I think) truck pumps and 2010-11-12 Camaro pumps will also bolt on with the correct block-to-belt-pully spacing. (That's a technical term.)
Yeah, that cam will bolt right in no problem. Like has been said before, if you're going through the effort of the LS6 cam, I also recommend upgrading to a nice aftermarket cam.
T56's are incredible transmissions and will be what I'm dropping into my '73 Camaro. I have heard of Z's of all years swallowing T56's, so a little searching will help you find the answers you need for the details of the swap. Good luck!

I'd go aftermarket cam, unless you already have the vette cam and want to spend the extra money on a N02 kit. That much money shouldnt be an issue though if your doing a 1990 300zx swap. lol...
